Why should America care about Palestinians?

I don’t think that we Americans care generally speaking, but one can’t help but think that OPEC influences our way of thinking, I always support Israel but I think what they did was wrong, nobody’s above the law in by book, and what they did last week was against the law, for example if Iran did that than we’ll have US troops in Iran in less than an hour don’t you think.
