What is the best software to print onto a printable CD?

I have an HP printer which I bought to print onto CD's. Though the printer came with software to print onto CD's, it isn't working properly. It isn't compatible with Windows 7. I downloaded Windows Live but that isn't working either. Though I called HP about their software they said that it wasn't made for Windows 7 and I should purchase a 3rd party software. I just bought the printer 20 days ago; I would return it but it does print very well and i would like to try to get some investment out of it. I do not want to use any sticker labels and I want to be able to use one of my own photos to print onto the CD. Any suggestions?
