What do you think this behavior is eluding to?

My spouse is always looking for reasons to work late, very seldom coming home until me and the kids are already in bed. And when he is home, he stays outside or in the garage away from any interaction with us. He says he wants peace and with 3 small children we don't have a lot of that in the house...what does this all mean? What is this behavior really telling me????
