This is very revengeful philosophy?

Being a Pacifist means that you don't believe in violence. But I doubt if you would remain pive while someone is trying to kill your child. No revenge is never the right way, however defending yourself or someone you love is always okay. It sounds more like that guy is ignorant, and possibly trying to upset you just a little with his ignorance.
