A friend of mine hates Judy Dench but I have no idea why. Can you help?

I would have to disagree with your friend as I think Dame Judi Dench is a fine actress and I can find nothing wrong with her. She can act and some actresses today cannot do that, Dame Judi has been in comedy as well as drama roles and carries them all off very well. We cannot all like the same people and so your friend's taste just differs from mine.
