yes and no. She loves the sentiment, the adoration, the contrast with the cavalier way her husband treats her, but she loves the security of the life she has above all. She is timid and cannot find the courage Gatsby wants her to have, to abandon her life, to cause a scandal and go off into the unknown. She may also lose her daughter if she goes with Gatsby.
