The "Ten Commandments" in the courtroom?

As long as they are displayed simply as an example of legal tradition, I have no problem with it. In the Queens County courthouse, there are two large paintings flanking the main stairwell. On one side is Moses presenting the commandments. On the other is a depiction of various important Constitutional framers, scholars and jurists. I'm an atheist, and I've never cared that there is a painting of a religious scene there, because of the context.
